At the Crime Victims Center of Chester County, we are dedicated to creating a healthier and safer community for everyone. There are numerous impactful ways to support our mission beyond becoming a member of our Volunteer Team.

Join Us in Making a Difference

Note: At this time we are not providing community service hours for justice involved individuals.

Volunteer Opportunities

Direct Support: Assist victims of crime by providing emotional support, information, and resources through our crisis hotline and support groups.

Community Outreach: Help us raise awareness of our services by participating in community events, workshops, and informational sessions.

Advocacy: Join our advocacy efforts to promote victims’ rights and educate the public about the challenges faced by those affected by crime.

Training Programs: Participate in training sessions to develop skills that will enhance your ability to support victims effectively.

Special Projects: Contribute to various initiatives and events that aim to engage the community and foster a supportive environment for victims.

Join our volunteer team

The vital work of The Crime Victims’ Center is made possible by people like you! If you are compassionate, empathetic, and willing to empower members in your community, becoming a volunteer at the CVC might be the perfect fit.

To become a member of our Volunteer Team, you must:

  • Live in Chester County
  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Submit a criminal background check and child abuse clearance
  • Complete a comprehensive 40-hour training

Volunteer Training

  • Sexual assault and victimization
  • Crisis intervention and response
  • Confidentiality
  • Medical and legal procedures
  • Effective hotline and communication skills

Plus a variety of other topics concerning advocacy.

*Our trainings are held several times a year!
