If you have been a victim of a crime, the Crime Victims’ Center of Chester County, Inc. (CVC) is here to support you through every step of the process—from the hospital and police interviews to court proceedings. You do not have to go through this alone.
HOSPITALS
If you’ve experienced sexual assault, a trained victim advocate can accompany you to the hospital and guide you through the sexual assault examination process.
POLICE INTERVIEWS
Reporting a crime can feel overwhelming, especially when it involves giving a statement. Whether it’s an audio or written record, a victim advocate can be by your side during the police interview to provide support.
COURT HEARINGS
Once an arrest is made, court hearings may follow. Advocates are available to explain what you can expect at each hearing. If required to appear, they can accompany you to the courthouse for support. Advocates can also be with you during pretrial meetings and throughout the trial process.
If you need an advocate to accompany you to any interviews, appointments, hearings, or other events, please call our 24/7 Hotline for immediate assistance.
